I recently became re-interested in completing my collection of Teeny Weeny Families but was having trouble due to lack of information and the problem of ebay sellers (well known for selling minis and supposed to be knowledgeable on what they sell) listing things as 'complete' when they weren't. This led me to begin compiling my own information on Teeny Weeny Families and their offsets and hopefully my completist philosophy when it comes to I.D'ing will help others with their own collections.
When buying Teeny Weeny Families (or any collectible) it is best to search on the ebay site of the country in which they were most popular, in this case www.ebay.co.uk but of course they will pop up on other ebays (remember to search for them using the correct name if the language of the site). Other places you could find them might be op-shops (thrift stores), other online second hand toy seeling sites or auction sites and toy collector forums/personal selling pages. My wantlist and trade/sales list are available on my blog.
If you have items not pictured on the site and wouldn't mind contributing then please contact me. Full credit will be given (unless you specify otherwise). A complete list of information needed for the site can be found on the blog.
Please do not use the images on the site without permission. With a few exceptions all of the images and information has been photographed, scanned or typed by me and it took a lot of time and effort. If you want to use the images please contact me first to gain permission. My photos should not be used to illustrate items you are selling. My photos have been edited and may show an item to be in better (or worse!) condition than an item you are selling, and it would be unfair to a buyer to show them an item of different quality to what they will recieve; however you could provide a link back to this site as a place for extra information.
